We’ve never had a better opportunity to catch up on sleep€”whether it’s a reduced commute or a suddenly wide-open social calendar, it seems we’ve all got a lot of spare time on our hands€”but the overarching feeling of anxiety in the air can still make a good night of shut-eye tough to come by.

In the Western Living world, we believe that uncertain times call for some extreme nesting. A new bedding set can’t solve the world’s problems, we know, but cranking up the cozy factor in your home is going to at least ease the pain… so even if you’re lying awake at 2 a.m. trying to remember if you sanitized your door handles, at least you’ll be swaddled in something physically comforting. Here’s a few beautiful bedding sets we’re eyeballing in the pursuit of some sweet dreams.

Mellow Yellow

We love this stonewashed French linen Heirloom quilt ($330) from Vancouver e-shop Flax Sleep, especially in marigold yellow€”perfect a little extra dose of sunshine in these strange times. (Can a colour alone give you vitamin D?)

Welcome to Paradise

Science says that nature can reduce stress and lower blood pressure… surely this tropical Ted Baker London Pistachio Border cotton sateen duvet set (from $285), featuring images of flamingos and exotic blossoms, can do the same.

Water World

A soothing abstract watercolour print covers West Elm’s Tencel Abstract Landscape duvet cover (from $122). The fact it’s woven from sustainably sourced, fair trade Tencel (which is designer to be smoother than silk and cooler than linen) will let you rest easy, too.

Swirly Gig

The graphic woven jacquard Crescente duvet cover from CB2 (from $209), designed by Molly Fitzpatrick, is the perfect mix of lovingly-handcrafted-by-Grandma and contemporary cool.

The Pullover

If you’ve ever wanted to sleep inside of your favourite knit sweater, this tailored cotton Kiyomi duvet cover from Crate and Barrel (from $290) might be as close as you’ll get.

Woven Wonder

We might not be able to do much travelling these days, but this textured Kas Australia cover set (from $130) brings a bit of exotic flair to the bedroom via boho poms and fringes.

Ripple Effect

With the DKNY Ripple comforter (from $272), you get that white-on-white luxury hotel look, with a rippled texture to add some homey character.
