The baking geniuses at Purebread Bakery share a few of their favourite treats.
Purebread has some 100 items in constant rotation at its three locations, but we settled for just four recipes to accompany our profile on the bakery in the March issue of the magazine. If they turn out half as well as the goodies on display at Purebread, you may never have to wait in line again.
This recipe may not actually call for sour cream, but the combination of sharp cheddar and heavy whipping cream bring an irresistible flavour into the mix.
This crusty bread is a perfect accompaniment to a hearty soup and crisp green salad, or smothered with butter and fresh jam.
These super-easy melt-in-your-mouth cookies make the ideal tea-time treat; the toasted almonds give a great crunch and delicious flavour combined with the buttery toffee pieces.
Rosemary and lavender make this loaf an elegant (and savoury) addition to the breakfast table.
