What It’s Like to Win a Designers of the Year Award
Join editor-in-chief Anicka Quin for a glass of wine as she chats with top designers in the first of our brand-new WL Design Talks.
Join us for an inspiring talk with some of the West’s top design talent in the first of an ongoing series: WL Design Talks, which kicks off June 1 at Trail Appliances in Richmond, B.C.”We’re excited to be taking the conversations from our pages out into the real world for both designers and homeowners,” says editor-in-chief Anicka Quin, who will be moderating the panel of three designers. The first, “What Makes a Home Truly Livable?”, will see designers Denise Ashmore, Ada Bonini and Jim Toy challenging the notion that more square footage is what’s needed for a comfortable life. “We’ll be discussing ideas such as aging in place, and creating spaces for kids once they’re ready for the own places as well,” says Quin. “And, of course, there’s wine too. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”Tickets are free, but space is limited, so rsvp to laura.lilley@ypnexthome.ca to reserve a seat. And attention designers! WL Design Talks are eligible for 1 non-IDCEC hour for IDIBC members.PRIZES ALERTAttendees will also be eligible to win:
