A minimalist Vancouver home designed by &Daughters is at the top of our wish list.
Photos by Ema Peter.
Vancouver design firm &Daughters didn’t explicitly do the interior design of this monochromatic, 1,672-square-foot home for the holiday seasonrather, it’s a contemporary family home for a newlywed couple to enjoy year ’round. But the crisp white palette, cozy textiles, and designed-with-entertaining-in-mind floor plan (designed and built by Shed Homes, with landscape design by Carolyn Kennedy) makes us feel like it really would be the perfect winter-chic Christmas gift for the design lover.
Should we be wrapping presents? Yes. Are we instead just swooning over the sculptural wooden staircase and 600-square-foot rooftop patio with 360-degree views? Guilty. Santa, baby, if you could just slip this modern beaut under the Christmas tree, we’ll be good. We’d even be happy if you wrapped up the chic black-and-glass custom bar cabinet, really. We’re not greedy.
