The Edmonton design shop goes digital with offerings for little design lovers.

Situated on 124 street—where Edmonton’s historic Furniture Way once resided—Plum Home and Design has been a staple on the city’s design scene since 2011. Stylist and interior designer Jenna Pryor and her mother and co-owner Pamela Freeman are known for sourcing one-of-a-kind finds from local and global artisans, but the furniture and accessories that have filled their shop for the past five years have excluded the younger crowd.Baby Plum ProductsPryor and Freeman have recognized that parents crave quality and style for their little ones, too, so this summer they’ve added baby bounty to the mix with the launch of their online shop, Baby Plum.  “As a mother of two small children under the age of three,” explains Pryor “I find I do a lot of my shopping online at night. Also our store is only 600 square feet so we really don’t have the space for all of the lines.”

LouLou Lollipop teether.Antique toys.Mini Moc slippers.The Seeds hedgehog pillow.Ouistitine puppets.The online shop carries an extensive collection of baby clothing, décor, books, and toys, including Mushy Books from Vancouver, Toronto’s So Young diaper bags and accessories and Edmonton based PLANTIful, an organic skincare line. New to the digital boutique is interior designer Sarah Richardson’s recently launched bedding line for babies and toddlers. Pryor tests out all the goods prior to purchasing and doesn’t carry anything in the store that she doesn’t use at home herself. “We find these days that less is more,” explains the busy Mom. “Parents want fewer things but better quality designs that last longer, and that’s what we’re all about.” Jenna Pryor's son amongst Baby Plum Shop Baby Plum in store at Plum Home and Design
