Jeff Martin Joinery, Zoë Pawlak and Matthew McCormick collaborate for a silent auction June 18 in Vancouver.

Back when Montreal-based painter Zoë Pawlak lived in Vancouver, she and Jeff Martin both had studios in the same building.A collaboration between these creative neighbours was always on the books, and with the 2015 Summer Solstice Auction the two are teaming up in more ways than one. Both headlining artists for the event, the duo also collaborated for the first time on two special furniture pieces featuring Pawlak’s hand-painted artwork on two Jeff Martin Joinery credenzas. The silent auction will also showcase lighting from Vancouver-based designer Matthew McCormick, as well as sculpture work from Chicago-based Steven Haulenbeek, and Brooklyn-based Palo Samko.Look out for first and second edition prototypes from Jeff Martin Joinery, including the first pieces he made with bronze and stone. Pawlak’s most recent work will be for sale exclusively at this show, all of which are hand-painted, original oil paintings.
