Hinterland is a great little boutique design group operating out of B.C.’s Sunshine Coast by way of San Francisco (hence their apropos name). After spotting their work at a Western Living Design Week event back in September, I became totally enchanted by their Tidal Flux ottoman. Inspired by a Pacific Northwest crab trap, it’s surface is handwoven by a local Sunshine Coast artist in cotton rope, wool yarn and fluorescent nylon cord—and a perfect reflection of the handmade trend we’ve been seeing of late.Tidal Flux ottoman, price on request, available at Hinterlanddesign.com
