Victoria Speciality Hardware & Plumbing celebrates 20 years of making spaces beautiful

This March, Victoria Speciality Hardware & Plumbing reached a big milestone€”20 years in the business of selling architectural hardware and kitchen and bath products€”but it’s not a surprising one. Since day one, VSH has been a key resource for Vancouver Island’s design community, the place to source big name brands (think Dornbracht, and Perrin & Rowe) and specialty pieces for home renovations and upgrades alike.Owners Bob and Sue Emslie opened VSH in 1995, and moved next door to a second location in 2003. Ten years later, in 2013, it was time to upgrade once more: now in a bigger showroom, the local company is able to offer more selection and better service (its library of product catalogues is staggering) than ever before. The modern, open space, located just outside the downtown Victoria core, is within a two-block radius of some of the Island’s biggest flooring and electrical stores€”a convenient design centre for homeowners and designers to shop for renovation finishes and building essentials. And the new venue offer opportunity for working showers, tubs and toilets, ideal for customer demos. It’s worth raising a glass to celebrate Victoria Speciality Hardware & Plumbing’s two decades in business. An independent company, owner operated, along with dedicated staff, some with over 10 years tenure, serving the community, and serving it well, is a rare treat€”here’s to another 20 amazing years.
