The South Granville consignment shop expands its flagship location to include used furniture and home decor.
Turnabout, a group of four resale-clothing shops located in Vancouver and South Surrey, has been selling quality designer label clothing and accessories to a committed clientele in its original shop on South Granville since 1978. This past summer, Turnabout’s South Granville location moved two doors up to 3135 Granville, freeing up the original location at 3109 Granville to house owner Joy Mauro’s foray into the world of furniture and home décor.Since Joy’s existing clients are as passionate about having beautiful homes as they are about wearing beautiful clothesand as savvy about getting unique, quality designshe felt it was a natural evolution to expand her business so that customers could bring her their pre-loved dressers along with their gently used dresses. In an area that’s known for its art galleries and interior design shops and showrooms, a consignment home furnishings shop was decidedly missing, so it isnt surprising that since Turnabout Home opened a month ago, the reception has been overwhelmingly positiveThe store buys and sells all the things that turn a house into a well-loved home: from large-scale sectionals, to sweet nick-knacks, to lamps to light these up. If youve recently revamped your space and don’t have a plan for your decor treasures, Turnabout Home consigns items big and small. Items accepted cover the wide range from antique to ultra modern, but they all have being tasteful, excellent, and designer quality in common.Turnabout Home is now accepting items on consignment, offering a 50/50 commission (or a flexible commission rate on items consigned for more than $3000.00). Small items can be viewed, without an appointment, from Tuesday-Saturday. For large items, please email pictures and information to granvillehome@turnabout.ca.
