Here’s the palm-leaf craze, according to Bohn:

Why is The Palm having such a big moment right now?

“Palms have been a huge design trend over the last little while and I think it’s for a few reasons:Retro Factor. “They have a little bit of a mod-inspired look and are reminiscent of ’60s glamour, which has been all the rage in both interior design and fashion. So incorporating palms feels fresh, current and sexy!”bold baby room design idea fox design We love this palm-print couch from a Fox Design Studio baby roomInstant Luxury. “There seems to have been an explosion of luxury travel in the last little while. You’re seeing it more and more on social media, on blogs and in magazines. Adding palms to an interior design scheme is a nice way to amp-up the glam factor in interiors and make it feel luxurious and high-end—while still approachable at the same time.”b-the-hill-side-tropical-leaves-linen-throw Tropical leaves get a hip urban treatment in this throw ($229) from CB2’s collaboration with Brooklyn menswear designers, The Hill-SideNature is Timeless. “Plants always feel fresh and so versatile! Unlike a manufactured pattern, plants are found in nature and therefore are incredibly timeless. You can’t go wrong incorporating plant-inspired prints because they’ll never date themselves!”

How can people easily add some palm at home?

“I love the idea of incorporating palms as an accent in fabric. Use them in toss pillows, or if you’re daring enough, upholster your entire sofa in Palm prints! Don’t be afraid to go crazy with this print because it can be as subtle or dramatic as you want to take it.”rug-palm1“If your design style sways more subtle and classic, then some over-sized palm leaves in a glass vase is a nice, fresh accent to your home. Or, if you like pattern and drama, then using a palm leaf patterned wallpaper in your powder room or foyer for a punch of colour and personality in your space!”
