Four designers prove how small bathroom spaces can be updated with a fresh sheet of wallpaper.

1. Colour Pop

Wallpaper is in nearly every room of this pretty, feminine condo (and even makes an appearance on the ceiling), but remains subtle thanks to a cohesive palette. The powder room, on the other hand, embraces colour and pattern. The homeowner wanted “beautiful colour, pattern and texture to enjoy at every corner,” says Erin Chow of The Cross Design.

2. Big and Bold

The bathroom in this Vancouver home, covered in a gorgeous floral wallpaper from Trove, leans towards the modern and adds a touch of glam with a metallic-like sheen. Throughout the rest of the home, interior designer Robert Bailey, stuck to a more traditional style and restrained colour palette.

3. Room to Play

Designer Negar Reihani, founder and principal of Space Harmony, didn’t let the small square footage of this petite powder room hold her back. Instead, she covered the walls with a doily-like pattern that nods to vintage; the teal-blue colour keeps it fresh.

4. Luxe Life

Unlike the other spaces featured here, designer partners Ivan Quintana and Erica Schmidt of Medina Design House, didn’t add colour to the powder room in this Vegas-inspired condo: they opted for a luxe cloud wallpaper that adds visual interest while staying in tune with the rest of the home’s palette.
