Handcrafted art has amazing value, and with holiday shopping just around the corner we can look to Western Front’s TOQUE Craft Fair and Fundraiser for British Columbia’s carefully chosen showcase of this season’s local treasures.(Photo by Western Front)Extended for 2015, the three-day event will feature a variety of merchandise from books and cards, ceramics and jewelery, to food, housewares and fashion from specially selected local artists, designers and artisans. Expect around 2,500 attendees and a limited edition tea towel custom-made exclusively for the event (this year by Toronto-based artist, Walter Scott) that will be available for purchase.A barbeque and drinks will be provided for the opening night party on Friday, Dec. 4 from 6-10pm for those seeking additional excitement.Participating vendors include:1UP Caramels, Anita Sikma Design, AW by Andrea Wong, Coral + Cloud, Cumulus Project, Draw Me A Lion, East Van Jam, Erin Templeton, Explorer’s Press, Fable Naturals, Fieldwork, Fleet Objects, Gailan Ngan, Gray Metal, Henderson Dry Goods, Hendrik Lou, Made by Kin, Maggie Boyd Ceramics, Osmics, Perro Verlag, Scout & Catalogue, Simply Read Books, Strathcona Stockings, Sunday Dry Goods, Thistle Town Toys, WarmAndDrift, WoodlotAll proceeds will go to support Western Front’s year-round art and music programs.
