You're going to need something soft to snuggle up on during these crazy times.
We’re spending a lot of time with our sofas these days. It’s just what happens when you’re in the middle of a crisis like this one, it turns out: a lot of working from home, a lot of cancelled plans, a lot of nights in with the TV. So when we get tired of reading the non-stop stream of articles about the pandemic, we turn to an activity that could bring some joy and comfort to our livesshopping for furniture, even if only online, for now. Though it feels a little like cheating to be eyeballing other sofas while sitting on one who served you loyally well as you methodically watched (and fell asleep during) every episode of The Sopranos, now seems like a good time to get a little sofa-curious.

Blue Beauty The shape is Nordic and sleek, but the blue velvet plush cushions of this Rove Anderson sectional ($1,599) add a little maximalist comfort to the minimalist package. roveconcepts.comSquare Up The low arms of this oversized Broome sofa from CF Interiors keep it from being too rec-room boxy, and the cozy cushions invite you to curl up and stay a while. cfinteriors.ca
Dangerous Curves Any angle will do for a nap on the modualar, Karim Rashid-designed Ottawa sofa ($6,587) from BoConcept. boconcept.com
